Has anyone got any magic way to buff scratches out of windshields? My 2004 has some minor scratches that I'd love to buff out rather than fork out the huge
bucks for a new windshield.
Thanks

You can use some different grits of rubbing compound but go easy as you can make it worse if you're too aggressive.
Depending on how bad the scratches are MeGuiars makes various polishing compounds for "clear plastic" that work well. http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_list.cfm?sectionname=Consumer%20(Meguiar's%20Brand)%3EClear%20Plastic%20Care§ionID=15101

Where you able to get the scratches out of the windshield? Seems like a problem we will all have at some time.

I ended up finding a few articles online saying that it's possible to buff out scatches, so in the end went to one of the best local detailers and they did
an excellent job. He used a very fine wet and dry sandpaper and then progressively fine buffing compounds. Cost me $60 but looks almost perfect. A huge amount
cheaper than a new windshield.
