ok, this is _really_ off-topic, but I figured what-the-heck.
We have a pretty basic set up right now, basic-cable split into the tv and a tivo box, and the tivo sending s-video into the tv on it's second input.
Therefore, we can record on tivo, while watching a completly different channel (or use picture-in-picture, one being the tv's tuner's signal, the other being the tivo's signal), but usally we just watch "through" the tivo (using that as the only input).
We figured, what the heck, why not join this new fangeled revelution of digital cable, hdtv and big large screen tv's.
So, I think I want to get a tv with a cable card slot to decode the digital cable, but where/how does the tivo work into this?
