The following is not a knock on Dale who, five years ago when I first started riding, spent an hour on the phone sharing his experience with me - whom he had never met and to whom he had no parts to sell (the SV650 having just been released).
The Holeshot thread in the Technical Discussions forum does not behave the way all other threads do with regards to Marking Forums Read and clicking on the Next Topic button. The thread appears every time I visit the forum even if there have been no new posts. It always appears at the top of the list of threads - no matter when the last post to it or another thread in the forum. When I finish reading the Holeshot thread and click "next" I get sent somewhere other than the next thread that appears on my screen. These two behaviors may be related in that the Next button may be sending me to the next thread that was new at the time the last (no longer new, for me, having read it during a prior log-in) message was posted to the Holeshot thread.
So, my questions are - Has this thread deliberately been set up to behave differently than all the others? If so, who did it (Dale or our truly gracious administrators)? Why was this done? Can we modify other threads to behave this way? Does the "Push Pin" graphic indicate its different status?
