I took 700 off msrp, then calculated what the OTD price would be with Tax and License. Then I started calling dealers to see if they would offer that OTD price. I told them, I'm trying to shop locally, so Im giving all dealerships within 100 miles the first opportunity for my business (starting with the closest first). I also said that there were dealers out of state that were offering much better deals. If no one will deal, then Ill look for dealers, farther away. That, of course, would bring up the problems with out of state purchases for kalifornia, then i would just agree "what a pain to go through all that, just save 4 or 5 hundred. Why dont you guys just make it easy on me and do my OTD price?" :evil :evil

I found a couple that would do 500, but not 700. Fortunately for me, my closest dealer agreed to the 500.

By only dealing with the OTD price, there were no issues with adding fees later. Its OUT THE DOOR! ;)

I also got a copy of the OTD price, in writing just incase. It is a 6 month wait afterall!

Hope this helps someone.
