Those are reasonable expectations sizewise. Using compression bags for fly/tent and separating the stakes/poles allows you to make a smaller package. Many small 2 mans won't fit in a pannier due to stuff sack dims and poles. Cost goes up as weight/size goes down. Seams should be factory sealed, rainflys should go almost to the ground. 2 man tents w/two doors allow larger vestibules to get gear out of the weather and out of sight. Freestanding configs will save your butt from time to time if the ground is real hard or sandy.
