I started riding in 1961 and always wore a 3/4 helmet even though in those days, no helmet was required. My sons both ride sport bikes, wear full face and have placed increasing pressure on me to switch to full face. I'll pass on the comment that one made to me that motivated me to go to full face: "Dad, when you crash....do you want 3/4 of your face left or your full face left?" I found a full face AGV that I now 'am comfortable wearing. I'm also considering the new Nolan N-102 modular helmet for my 06 FJR. It's not as strong in a crash as a full face but I wear glasses and it slips on and off without having to remove the glasses. Makes gassing up and talking at stops easier also. Just my 2 cents worth.
