I've used one for the majority of 40,000+ miles on two FJR's and for me, it's proved to be the best "all-around" windscreen I've owned. I've tried most of the popular choices over the past few years and while there's better cold weather shields and better hot weather shields, the Givi is the one I'd own if I could only have one shield for year round use. Having said that I do have a V-Stream (another amazing windscreen) which I plan to use over the late Fall,Winter, and early Spring. I've got a piece of Saeng edging on my Givi that has been on my Bandit 1200, my Concours, my 03' FJR, and is currently residing on my 05'. It's there because I found that it really makes a difference in wet weather. It tend to act like a "gutter" , and keeps the rain/sleet/hail/snow from spraying over the top leading edge of the windscreen. It channels moisture down both side of the shield and away from the rider. It may calm down some of the buffeting as Saeng advertises, but the Givi does a pretty good job of that on it's own. I'm not recommending any windscreen over another as it's one's personal choice, but for me (5'9", long upper torso) it's been the ticket for many a mile. Good luck in the quest for your perfect solution.............
