I used a T-bar and 6 mm socket to remove the OEM fasteners from the OEM rotors. No heating or "banging" necessary but the T-bar is the only way I found to do it (no bending moment-torque only).I removed the wheel first so I could get to the fasteners better.
I bought the fancy Ti bolts. They save weight (not much) and look cool and I was afraid to re-use OEM fasteners in such a critical place.
