Steve, I also have the CB4+4. The "tuning block" effect by replacing the two bolts UNDER the "W" brace can really help.

Take the shield off. Under the "W" frame, there are two green bolts that are counter sunk into the frame. Than holds the shield frame to the motor arms. Mine were green coated and REALLY hard to get loosened with a hex.

I went to the hardware and bought the two next length sizes of countersunk bolts. I think they are a M6. I think I got 3/4 inch and 1 inch (which was WAY too long) just to save a trip back to the store. Unfortunately , I could not find hex, so I got phillips head in stainless. I also bought 2 nuts for EACH bolt (as spacers instead of plastic washers) and several washers, also in stainless.

I put the C/S bolts in place, then on the back side of the shield brace I put one washer, then two nuts, then one washer. I then screwed the shield brace to the motor arms. That is about all the angle I could get, because of the missmatch in postion (and springs and slots in the fairing).

The shield tips back a bunch. I now get a face full of air (I'm short) where I didn't before. I like the "tuned" position much better than stock.

On the down side, a bunch of air comes under the shield, so in the winter, I'll be taking the nuts back out. That will keep a lot more air off of my head, neck and hands.
