Something you might want to consider and maby someone here has some first hand expierence with it, a company called California Scientific has a product called micro swirl edging that attaches to the leadind edge of your windshield and according to them will move the air up about 4 to 5 inches higher and will almost stop the buffeting that is common on the FJR. It is a bit costly but not as much as a windshield. I think it takes about 4 and 1/2 ft. and it is $12.50 per Ft. They have a money back guarentee if you are not satisfied. I have been looking at this for a few days and am considering getting this for my bike. If it works that would be great, I like the look of the stock shield and would rather not have to put a barn door on my bike to move the wind. If anyone has tried this, please let us know what you think.
