Yes-- the blue bike is pretty good looking but I've seen black FJRs that are just georgious. I mean the black FJRs just stand out so far over all the other colors that its just not a fair contest. I have heard that Yamaha only sells the black units to those riders that they consider to be as good looking as the bike. The next best looking FJR has got to be the silver 03.

Well Bounce-- I wish I could say ypu are full of ka-ka but-- you are right again. The bike in black sure is pretty when its all nice and clean but it sure shows up the dirt like no other color. I really lked the 03s silver color because it always looked clean. This 09s improvements are worth the never washed look. It really is a smoother running bike but I wish it was silver or red or blue. I guess I'll just have to suffer along with the dirty look as I ride this fantastic piece of equipment. Improvements over the 03? Better ergonomics-no more sore arms and throttle springs are nowhere near as strong. smoother engine-the fuel injection is damn near spot-on, smoother shifting, less whine out of the tranny, anti-lock brakes make tires impossible to lock up/slide (slid the rear tire on the 03 more than once) -handleing through the mountains is even better than on the older models-harder to scratch windshield, louder exhoust (hay--some folks pay tons for louder pipes), easily adjusted headlights, better ergos for the passenger, enough room under the seat for groceries or lumber for that new room addition,. much less heat on the upper bod, and the list goes on---. Plus--- just being on a machine that has the power to leave all the other earlier FJRs in the dust--------------PRICELESS !!!
